LEW 1S is sold for £200k
June 19th, 2008 Bob Lewis paid £50k for the personalised number plates bearing the registration number LEW 1S a year ago and was quite happy with his purchase until Lewis Hamilton offered him £200k for it. It was originally auctioned by the DVLA in 1990 where it achieved £36000 at the hammer and a total of approx £45000 with vat etc. Bob was reluctant to sell at first but the offer was just too good to miss.
