Though it is not a complete antidote I have found shopping online with my credit card to be a great way to ease to rising price of gas. A couple of years ago I thought nothing of driving all over town shopping, but a really active day of doing that can mean burning through $15-20 worth of gas. By having a little patience and persistence I have found that many of the everyday items I need can be found online at a good price – often with free shipping. Hey – as gas in my neighborhood gets to $5 per gallon it’s going to hurt – but thanks to sites with merchant services it doesn’t have to be fatal.
